Virtual Reality
In what ways can “virtual reality” be used in education? (It can be explained with topics that interest you).
I think there are many things that use virtual reality in teaching. For example, when learning to build, architects can make drawings into three-dimensional virtual buildings to help them learn and modify.
2. Technology has become an important part of the daily teaching process. What challenges will educators face when choosing technology to enhance the quality of teaching?
I think the first challenge that educators must face is the process of learning technology. There should be considerable training courses to help educators. The second is the legitimacy of the use of technology. Educators need to use technology appropriately without making technology overwhelming. Technology should be the help in the classroom, not the main activity.
Hello Kenna,
Well highlighted the significance of technology in the class. Integrating technology in the classroom should be for enhancing the teaching-learning process and addressing the issue of inclusivity in the classrooms. In times, when everyone is worried and cautious about privacy and safety, it is a must to see the appropriateness of the technology in this regard. Lastly, as educators, we need to prepare and train ourselves before we inculcate this in our classrooms, for this initiative from the school authorities is much essential factor.
Hello Kenna,
Thanks for sharing your valuable ideas about virtual reality and the challenges faced by teachers.
You had provided a good example that how the teachers can use virtual reality in the classroom. Instead of this, there are many more methods that can be implemented in the class such as by showing the 3D view of the earth, the internal system of the human body etcetera that can help the students to learn in an effective way. Also, it makes learning more enjoyable and interesting.
I agree with you that the main challenge faced by teachers is the lack of technological skills and training. It is very difficult to use technology in front of students without having effective technological training. Because if the teachers do not have good command to use it then how the students will gain knowledge and become effective learners.

Hi Kenna,
I agree with your point that Technology should be the help in the classroom, not the main activity. For now, technology can be a tool to assist teaching. And teachers must be proficient in the use of technology, otherwise the teaching time may be wasted in the classroom.
I have not experienced VR and AR technology used in teaching, but in my imagination it is very interesting, because I have experienced a long time of textbook and blackboard learning, it makes me very boring. If it can change from 2D teaching to 3D, I believe the effect will be good, but I am not sure how difficult it is to implement.
Thanks,
Leason
Hi, Kenna
Thank you for sharing all these meaningful thoughts and ideas about those new technologies, and thank you for picking “Ready Player One” as your cover picture! It is my favourite! As you said, implementing those new things into education is challenging, and I believe there are even risks for doing so. However, to me, risk and benefits are always bound together, and there will be a good future as long as we stick to the original purpose of education.
