I have not experienced or used AR technology in the classroom before. I think AR technology can be used to improve the interest of students in class, all the contents presented by AR are in 3D, it’s really help to students’ understanding and memory. Students’ classroom experience changes from 2D to 3D, and is no longer just boring contents in textbooks or blackboard. This is especially helpful for chemistry and physics, because these subjects have some things that we don’t normally see, such as electricity. Using AR technology may help students see virtual electricity. And the interactive nature of AR can design very attractive teaching content, which can increase students’ interest in learning.
I think the challenge is that teachers need to improve their skills of using these technologies. If the teacher is not familiar with these technologies, it may waste time.
Hi Leason!
Thank you for sharing, I agree with you that VR can help students memorize better, which is simpler than some pictures in books. When the students saw the animals in the virtual world, their excitement made their memories more vivid.

Hi Leason, hoping everything goes well 🙂
Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I quite agree with what you said. Compared with textbooks with pale graphic expression and single form, VR and AR technology are a kind of teaching media in a brand-new sense, which can greatly assist and promote students’ learning. Chemistry and physics are relatively abstract subjects. The use of VR and AR technology can improve the situational and intuitive presentation of knowledge, provide students with opportunities for active exploration and interactive communication, and greatly promote the proportion of active learning among students.
Although VR and AR technologies have a bright future, they are relatively new technologies, which not only have problems in teachers’ operation in teaching, but also are not perfect in themselves. Therefore, how to make full use of the advantages of virtual reality technology and at the same time minimize its negative impact still needs constant practice and improvement.
Best,

Hi Leason,
I think you are right. AR technology can indeed bring a lot of benefits to the classroom. It can make teachers’ classroom teaching more rich and interesting. At the same time, students can also increase their interest in learning. However, the use of AR does require time and effort. To learn, it is a waste of time for the teacher compared to the time spent on how to improve classroom teaching.
