Hello Everyone!
In my opinion, an educator’s style of teaching in a classroom depends on his/her perception of the nature of knowledge. I believe that knowledge is not static, it keeps on evolving and shaped by our beliefs, experiences, etc. Hence, I acknowledge the constructivist learning theory that equates learning with creating meaning from experience (West,2017). Every learner comes to the classroom with some prior experiences that can be used to construct knowledge. Here, the role of a teacher is of a facilitator who transforms the classroom into an active learning space.
During my teaching practice, I used to assign weekly group tasks to my students where they brainstormed different ideas and enhance their understanding of a specific topic by learning with each other.
According to constructivism, learning is a dynamic process (Bates,2019). Therefore, a teacher can explore the area of educational technology in the best possible manner and utilize the same to make the process of learning more interactive and delightful.

Hello Swanshi,
Hope you are doing well.
Undoubtedly, every teacher has different style of teaching while considering the interest, age, abilities, and capabilities of students. It is true that students have their prior knowledge that is helpful for them to acquire new knowledge. In this process, I do not think that the learner will construct their new knowledge individually, it is possible only if the teacher provides guidelines to them or if they have social interaction. It is very common that we can learn from the experiences of others too.
Moreover, digital technology has great impact on teaching. Teachers can use it to impart knowledge among students by using different applications etcetera. In this way, it helps the students to increase their curiosity to learn more.
Thanks
Creating meaning from experience is so important in education as it creates relevancy and purpose to their learning. Students more than ever need to know why. Why do we learn the things we do and why do we do things this way or that? Experiential learning has impact. My only questions is what happens when we cannot provide an experience all the time, what then?
Hi Swanshi,
Thank you for sharing your educational philosohy and teaching practice. Constructivism empasizes dynamic in education, which I believe can be one of the most important value of education. In the development of our education, a significant point is to recognize the differences between individuals. It is these differences that make education itself diverse and inclusive.
