Hello everyone
Hoping you guys have a great weekend:)
From my point of view, the core of universal learning design lies in universality. It pays attention to using various methods to make teaching activities meet the learning needs of students with different situations, backgrounds, learning styles, learning abilities and cognitive abilities. Educators must recognize the differences of learners and the diversity of learning styles and pay attention to the abilities of different learners in terms of seeing, listening and speaking, so that students with different cognitive abilities can achieve effective teaching goals.
Reflecting on my classroom experience, as Joe mentioned, many teachers use UDL principles in the classroom, even if they don’t realize it. When explaining the knowledge points, many teachers not only use text but also combine a large number of pictures, videos, audio and other flexible and diverse ways to present the learning content, so that all types of learners in the classroom can get the possibility of learning fairly. In addition, many of our recent online courses will be recorded. As mentioned by Ableser and Moore (2018), capturing the recordings of lectures enables students to review the teaching content at their own time and pace. In this special epidemic period, the lecture capture recordings give all students the opportunity to continue their studies.
I think the app I reviewed before is a good tool to create UDL. This software uses subtitles, videos and other different ways to present relevant content, so as to eliminate learning disabilities caused by perception as much as possible, and at the same time meet the preferences and different needs of all students in the class to receive information.

Hi, Sheng Li
Thank you for sharing your experience with UDL. With the development of our technology, I believe a multimedia classroom will be a unifying direction in education. Technologies are making it easier to implement UDL into classrooms.
