I believe that behaviorist theory should be used in teaching. Any kind of behavior is active and adaptive. In teaching, teachers should pay more attention to students’ initiative. For example, in the process of learning to read, reading annotations were used and then group presentations were organized to encourage students to be brave  to say their feelings and take the initiative to express their views and opinions. The teacher also used the students’ initiative and took the role of a guide during the instructional process. The learning process is the process of constantly trying out mistakes.  If the teacher takes strong punishment for a student’s mistake, the student will react with tension and fear to learning. According to behaviorism, learning is a combination of stimulus and response (Deubel, 2003).  After the lesson, the teacher should give the students sufficient connection and keep increasing the external stimuli so that the students will keep reinforcing what they have learned.

In short, applying behaviorism in teaching, teachers can not only greatly improve the efficiency of the classroom, but also help students to develop physically and mentally.  Through the application of behaviorism theory, students have the behavior of independent learning.
