4) How do educators balance students’ dependence on technology?
It is very important to balance use of technology in education so that students do not get addicted to it. The following ways can help to create a limit line for technology utilization.
- By offering hand-on activities in real life, after learning with technology. In this way, students can learn implementation of learning in their life.
- Educators should set clear boundaries and involve parents in this so that the students could not misuse or overuse technology at home.
- Use of paper books along with books to maintain balance between them.

Hello Kamaldeep,
Hope you are doing well.
I agree with you that youtube is an effective tool use to engage students in learning and develop their interest in learning. As it is a rich source of videos that are related to every subject. Moreover, it is quite easy to download the youtube app and use it anywhere at any time with access to the internet. On the other hand, to balance the use of technology in education, educators must set the objectives while collaborating with the parents of the students so that the students can not go out of track and use it in an effective manner for enriching their knowledge.

Hi Kamaldeep,
Thank you for sharing your meaningful thoughts on youtube as an education tool. I agree with you that youtube is a fairly nice worldwide platform that provides video sharing service, and there’re massive multimedia resources that could be used in education. However, what I what to emphasize here is youtube is still a commercial platform, so we educator should be careful in picking and selecting the content from it.
Hi, Kamaldeep,
I totally agree with the point that you mentioned:
Educators should set clear boundaries and involve parents in this so that the students could not misuse or overuse technology at home.
I think it is a very useful method!
Thank you for sharing.
Best,
