The results of TPI did not surprise me. The results showed that my teaching view is training. This is indeed my teaching point of view. I think that as an educator, we need to give students space to discover themselves, we need to guide them, lead them to discover their interests, and help them build self-confidence.
The flipped classroom has changed the role of the teacher. The teacher is only the instructor. Teachers are no longer the center of knowledge interaction and application, but when students need guidance, teachers need to provide necessary help and support to students. Under the teaching mode of flipped classroom, students become the center of learning. They can learn knowledge in the way they like and construct knowledge by completing real tasks while participating in actual activities. However, the teaching mode of flipped classroom requires students to use electronic devices for learning, so it is possible for students with poor self-control to spend most of their time on the Internet instead of studying.
In view of the shortcomings of flipped classrooms, some flipped classroom teaching can be tried. For example, the focus of the classroom can be condensed into videos and put on the Internet to facilitate review after class. You can also make the explanation of the homework into a video, which can save the time for explaining the exercises in the classroom, so as to free up more time to communicate with the students.
